Tomorrow:  Green Space Shabbat Service (Hybrid), June 17, 7:30 p.m. - Join us in honoring Rachel Goldberg as she concludes her time as our Education Director to continue her rabbinic studies in Israel. We also will host a Board Installation ceremony and say thank you to outgoing Board Members. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. We'll enjoy treats from a private ice cream truck after the service!


Saturday: 
Shabbat Morning Bike Ride & Torah Study, June 18, 9:00 a.m. -- 
Join Rabbi Eitan on a Shabbat morning 15-mile round-trip bike ride to the Daniel Wright Woods. We will meet in the Shir Hadash parking lot and ride the Des Plaines River Trail to the Captain Daniel Wright Woods for Shabbat Torah study. Please RSVP on the event page.

Security Team Needs Volunteers
 -- Shir Hadash has a security action plan and equipment. We were talking about implementing training and did a bit before Covid hit. Now, it’s time to get back to implementing our plan. Book Club Discusses Evergreen (Zoom)Thursday June 16, 7:30 p.m. -- The Shir Hadash Book Club is reading the novel Evergreen by Belva Plain. Join us for a lively virtual discussion; RSVP to be sent the Zoom link. 


FAC Greenspace Club Kickoff, Sunday, June 26, 10:00 a.m. --  The Family Activities Committee (FAC) Greenspace Club is coordinating gardening and fun activities in our greenspace. We will be maintaining a plot in our greenspace. We will be beginning this year's endeavor with a kick off on 06/26/2022. NW Suburban Interfaith Council iWalk, Sunday, June 26, 1:00 p.m. 
-- Help support those in need with Interfaith Council's iWalk, a 5K fundraiser to support area food pantries. Details and registration at  northwestsuburbaninterfaith.org/iwalk


Rosh Chodesh, Tuesday, June 28, 7:00 p.m. -- Please join us for the re launch of the Shir Hadash Women's Rosh Chodesh group with a meeting at Jackie Goodman's home. Rosh Chodesh is a chance for women to get together with old friends and to make new ones by participating in the ancient Jewish custom of celebrating the new moon each month. We will learn about the upcoming month, connect with each other, and hopefully grow spiritually as we make the learning our own. RSVP on the event page. Space is limited.


Schaumburg Boomers Baseball with Shir Hadash, Sunday, July 10, 1:00 p.m. -  See a great game and raise some money for the shul! Join us and see the Boomers take on the Windy City Thunderbolts. We’ll sit together on the lawn. Bring your own chairs, blankets, and strollers. Tickets are $11 for adults and children 2+ (children under 2 years are free). 


Membership Cycle Starts in July -- Our 2022-23 Membership Renewal cycle is coming up, starting after the 4th of July. Please watch your email and the newsletter for more information, and contact the office if you have any questions.


Great Gardening!  Final opportunity to request a greenspace garden plot by congregants interested in planting. Please contact Rabbi Eitan or the office (847-498-8218) if you are interested, to confirm what plots may still be available.
